What we evaluate
| Criterion | Why it matters | How we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Recipe relevance | A product should solve a real need: chocolate, pistachio filling, kataifi, molds or wrapping. | Off-topic products are excluded. |
| Ingredient / material information | Labels and specifications are more useful than vague marketing words. | We prefer listings with clear composition or dimensions. |
| Format and quantity | A 200 g ingredient and a multi-pack are not directly comparable. | We compare usable format, not just the headline product name. |
| Seller and availability | Stock, price and delivery change by country and retailer. | We tell readers to verify live listing details at checkout. |
| Practical fit | A deep mold may suit stuffed bars; a shallow one may not. | Recommendations are tied to the intended recipe or task. |
What we do not do
- We do not invent customer star ratings.
- We do not call a product “official”, “authentic” or “original” unless the source supports that exact claim.
- We do not guarantee price, stock, shipping speed or seller performance.
- We do not treat affiliate commission as evidence of product quality.
Affiliate links
Dubai Bar may earn a commission from qualifying purchases made through some links, at no extra cost to the reader. Affiliate status is disclosed in the footer and relevant shopping content. Editorial descriptions should remain useful even if the reader chooses not to click an affiliate link.
How comparison guides are written
Ingredient guides focus on characteristics that affect the recipe: pistachio intensity, sweetness, viscosity, kataifi format, chocolate type, mold dimensions and intended use. Where a retailer controls live information such as price or availability, we avoid hard-coding figures that can quickly become stale.
Corrections
If a product changes, disappears or no longer matches the description, the page should be updated or the listing removed. For general editorial standards, see our editorial policy.
