Dubai Chocolate Stuffed Dates
Medjool dates are the original Middle Eastern luxury sweet. Stuffed with pistachio cream and kataifi, then dipped in dark chocolate — this is Dubai chocolate at its most authentic.
Step-by-step instructions
Pit the dates
Using a small knife, make a lengthwise slit in each date and remove the pit. Open slightly like a pocket.
Mix filling
Combine pistachio cream with toasted kataifi strands. Mix well.
Stuff the dates
Fill each date with a generous teaspoon of the pistachio-kataifi filling. Press gently closed but let a little peek out.
Dip in chocolate
Hold each date by one end and dip two-thirds into melted dark chocolate. Let excess drip off.
Decorate
Place on a lined tray and immediately sprinkle with crushed pistachios. Dust with gold lustre for a luxury finish.
Set and serve
Leave at room temperature for 20 minutes or refrigerate for 10 minutes until set. Store in an airtight box for up to 5 days.
💡 Dubai Bar tip: Use Medjool dates specifically — they're the large, soft, caramel-flavoured variety. Regular dates are too small and firm for stuffing and won't give you the same luxurious bite.
